Welcome to our Upgrades service! Here’s how it works:
Service Overview:
Our Upgrades service is designed to help you enhance the performance and capabilities of your devices. For $35 per device, we cover the labor needed to install and configure new hardware or software upgrades for your Desktop, Laptop, or Mobile Device. Upgrades include OS installs, RAM, SSD, CPU, GPU, data backup and transfer, driver and firmware updates, software installs, and peripheral setup.
What is Covered:
- Labor Only: The flat rate covers the labor involved in upgrading your device. It does not include the cost of any hardware or software that may be required. For instance, if you want to upgrade your device's RAM, you would need to purchase the RAM modules. We can facilitate this purchase, ensuring it comes from a trusted supplier with a warranty.
Additional Fees:
- Dropoff: Free. You can drop off your device at our location at no additional cost.
- In-Home Service or Pickup: $65 additional fee per device. If you prefer to have us pick up your device or perform the upgrade in your home, an additional fee will apply.
Important Considerations:
- Parts Provided by Client: If you choose to provide your own parts, please note that we are not responsible for their functionality or durability post-upgrade. We highly recommend allowing us to source the necessary parts to ensure quality and warranty coverage.
- Scheduling: Due to our small business setup, all services must be scheduled in advance. After submitting the form, a technician will contact you to arrange a convenient time. As we expand our team, we’ll offer more flexibility and appreciate your understanding.
- Intake Process: Upon arrival, whether at your home or our location, there will be an intake process where we document the condition of your device(s) and obtain your signature on the completed form. This ensures clear records for both parties. If the upgrade requires bench work, we will take your device to our workshop and arrange for a return time once the upgrade is complete.
- First Come, First Served: Upgrades are handled in the order devices are received. During intake, we will provide an estimated completion time based on our current workload and the initial assessment. Please note that this estimate may change if further diagnostics reveal additional issues or require ordering parts. In such cases, we will contact you with an updated timeline and invoice for any necessary parts.
